A few taps of the keyboard to enter their payment details. Want to look more polished, save more time, and conquer cash flow? Wave has helped over 2,000,000 North American small business owners take control of their finances. The developer, Wave Financial Inc, indicated that the app’s privacy practices may include handling of data as described below.
- Deposits are sent to the debit card linked to your account in up to 30 minutes.
- A few taps of the keyboard to enter their payment details.
- Full details on how Wave support works are available here.
- For information on credit card rates, visit Pricing for details.
Everything else is available as a part of Wave Pro ($16 per month), which I reviewed. This includes many critical features, including the ability to connect to bank accounts for importing (and categorizing) transactions and send forms automatically through Wave. You can configure Wave to automatically add attachments to transactions, create reusable message templates, and send payment reminders. Adding payroll capabilities or soliciting help from a bookkeeper ($149 per month) still costs extra. Electronic invoices are created with online invoicing software or other cloud-based services, which makes it easy to automate the invoicing process.
With a Pro Plan subscription, you can connect your bank account with Wave and automatically import your transactions. We provide different levels of support, depending on the plan and/or the add-on features you choose. Enable invoice payments by credit card for a pay-as-you-go fee as low as 2.9% + 60¢, and watch the money roll in.
Invoice and estimate forms are attractive and easy to complete. You can choose from three templates and insert a logo, but more customization options would be welcome. They’re not as aesthetically pleasing as in FreshBooks.
Standard Accounting Practices
With our intuitive dashboard, you’ll be a money management pro in no time. Quickly build project estimates and professional invoices that reflect your business. Upload your logo, add customer info, share notes, and set net payment terms with ease. This app is super helpful, the main issue I have while using it is the lag. When inputting information the character count for it is super slow/delayed to where it forces me to stay on a certain page until it registers that information has been inputted. After inputting information and trying to click done at the bottom it will not register unless I swipe the keyboard away.
Invoice on-the-go and get paid faster
Show clients they’re in good hands by sending business invoices, estimates, and receipts. Automate overdue reminders and credit card payments to reduce friction and focus on the work. Wave’s mobile app (available for Android and iOS) is much more useful than before. The dashboard looks good, and you can create and view customer and product records, estimates, and invoices. All your transactions appear here, and you can even add new ones.
Give your clients what they want
With the Pro Plan, automatically import, merge, and categorize your bank transactions. It’s always available, and it’s backed up for extra peace of mind. Once you’re approved, you can turn payments on or off for any invoice, or pick default settings for all invoices. See sent, viewed, paid and overdue invoices hedging definition in one place so you know which clients are on the right track or need a nudge. See pending and completed payments from project-based and quarterly clients in one dashboard to identify revenue ebbs and flows and plan accordingly.
Button up your business with professional invoices.
Wave lacks some of the automation competitors have, however. Xero, for example, identifies matching transactions for you. Enable invoice payments through credit card, bank and Apple Pay. Pay per use so you’re only charged when technology clients use this feature. Allow your customers to pay your invoices immediately via credit card, secure bank payment (ACH/EFT), or Apple Pay.
Deposit times may vary due to processing cutoff times or third party delays. Wave supports double-entry accounting, which should make accountants happy. Among other things, this means that the software has a chart of accounts and deals with debits and credits in the background. It helps automate account reconciliation so you can square away your balance in Wave with your bank and credit card statements. This makes it easier to find duplicate, incorrect, and missing transactions.
